my philosophy on holidays is that you should always make them last longer than they are "supposed to." this is ESPECIALLY true when it comes to birthdays. since my birthday was on a tuesday filled with school and work this year it was particularly easy to accomplish this goal. mr. dtf and i celebrated my 21st birthday by seeing a movie {the vow} on friday night and going out to dinner {tucano's} on saturday night. the movie wasn't amazing or anything, but it was worth watching and it was so nice to be inside a movie theater again! it had been far too long. dinner made mr. dtf and me both feel fat and happy and i even got to stop by cocoa bean on the way home for a birthday cupcake {yes, i made room somewhere in that cavernous stomach of mine for dessert}! overall, i'd say my birthday was a total and complete success and i can't wait to see what 21 holds in store for me :)

i told mr. dtf i wanted a few birthday pictures and he was perfectly happy about that when it was just me, but when i told him i wanted some of the two of us... things went downhill rill fast {ha^^^}.
hope you all had a lovely weekend!
love,
mrs. dtf

Haha you and hubby are too cute! Glad to know you had a good birthday, I also believe it dragging it out for as long as you can! With lots of cake. And I saw the Vow on Friday, too. It was okay, but it definitely could have been better.
