my dears, i am so very sorry for skipping out on you on friday and not posting the answers to your questions. i did NOT forget about them and i'm hoping i will answer them this friday instead. the reason it has been moved is because a) i babysat from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on friday {i do not recommend this. to anyone. ever.} and b) i spent just about every second of the weekend with mr. dtf in preparation for his departure this evening to TAIWAN for a week long business trip.
mr. dtf is currently sitting in the seattle airport waiting for his 2:30 a.m. flight to taiwan and let me just tell you, i am being such a good girl and NOT crying
that much! you guys, i even had the guts to park and walk him in to the airport. i am such a total crybaby, but i held the tears in and kissed him goodbye and only made a slight fool out of myself as i let it all out and cried my way to the car. i haven't cried again since the airport meltdown and i am starting to think i can do this. we have already planned out some much needed phone calls and my mother-in-law has invited me to do some baking with her this week to fill up my time and eat away my sorrows ha!
here's a little peek at our weekend...
by the way, food trucks are TOTALLY hit or miss. oh, and was anyone else TOTALLY UNABASHEDLY disappointed by "the lucky one"? cause i truly hated it. and the cat... well, mr. dtf just found her like that so, cool, right?
here's to an awesome week for all of us! wish me luck {i'll need it}!
love,
mrs. dtf
i love the cat! i am excited to see the lucky one. i heard its so good, i hope it is... good luck its always hard when the husband has to leave, i cry like you only for the whole week BEFORE he leave and the whole time he is gone. i need to grow up!
ReplyDeletehope time flys by..
way to go! you can do it - just one week? i know it will seem like forever though - when we were engaged we were apart for the last 5.5 weeks and just the first four days seemed like an eternity. eating your sorrows out sounds like a great plan though :) and you reallyhated the lucky one? i'm planning ons seeing it in the dollar theater soon but maybe not?
ReplyDeleteLove the kityy! That sandwich defiantly looks good.. I knew there was a catch!!

I can't blame you for losing your cool- Taiwan is a long way! My hubby is going to be out of town 4 days a week for the next 3 months, and I thought I had it bad. Sending you prayers and happy thoughts!
