mrs. dtf: that q&a thing

well folks, it's been a long time coming, but i finally decided it was time to just sit my booty down and answer your questions! some of the questions are pretty standard while others are uh... unique. but i love you all for sending them to me and i plan to answer all of them! {if you asked a question and don't see it below just leave me a comment and i promise to answer it next week. girl scout's honor.}

so without further ado...

would you rather be kidnapped by terrorists or abducted by aliens? have a zombie apocalypse or world war III?

kidnapped by terrorists or zombie apocalypse! because look at me, i could take em down. easy. also, if mr. dtf got drafted i would probably sink into a deep hole of depression! cheerful, right?

what is your dream job? do you ever think of being a writer?

this is kind of a multi part question for me. because really all i want is to be a mom. but if i could be a mom and have time to write? oh how lovely that would be. i have always dreamed of being a writer and for now i get to practice right here on the blog every day!

what are you studying in school?

i am studying elementary education and let me tell you something, the classes are mostly worthless! BUT next year i do my practicums {two semesters where we get to go into actual classrooms and teach} and i cannot wait :) so far my only teaching experience was teaching a p.e. class for five weeks, teaching a dance class to first graders twice, and some volunteering in classrooms.

which would you rather be, a horse or a unicorn?

easy. i'd rather be bigfoot. because a friend from high school once photoshopped my face onto bigfoot's body and the image has always stuck with me and always will.

where is your favorite place to shop?

this was a tough one. like, WAY harder than it should have been. but i'm gonna go with nordstrom. because a) i wore a blouse from nordstrom in a bunch of my engagement pictures and i think it's just so perfect and b) because nordstrom is pretty much always full of beautifully made clothes that i just absolutely love.

what is your favorite thing about being married?

having someone to play with. because whether it's building forts or playing dress up, it's always better with the love of your life. because then you getta kiss and stuff!

how did you know mr. dtf was the one?

you guys, look at how happy we are. my dear sweet husband makes me so happy. and you know, i truly think that that's the most important thing. but for me there was even more assurance that he was THE ONE. i was told in a personal spiritual blessing i received {read more here} that i would know with a surety who my husband was. and i think it was a mix of a warm feeling and a complete clarity that told me that he was my match. and he is. and i get to be with him forever.

what’s your favorite cleaning product?

ha. cleaning. right. in all seriousness though i guess i have a pretty deep love of dawn dish soap with olay. the peach colored one. because when i do a sink full of dishes i'd rather not have my hands all nasty and peely and it prevents all that pretty well.

if you were beyonce for a day what would you do?

wait it out. because let's be real, i don't even like beyonce.

any mustache style you’re particularly fond of?

none. definitely none. scruff, on the other hand, well, scruff, i love.

favorite lds apostle {read more about this here}?

president boyd k. packer. because he spoke about marriage at a byu devotional and the way he spoke about his wife was absolutely beautiful and basically made me sob and was the most endearing thing ever. i truly hope that one day mr. dtf in his old age will speak of me that same way.

have you tried the sweet tooth fairy’s samoa cupcake?

um no, but not for lack of trying! the day i asked mr. dtf to take me to get one we had already eaten out so he decided to be all reasonable-like and said no so we wouldn't spend all of our money in one day. yada yada yada. i still want one.
